One for All

In partnership with Hockey North, Hockey Canada will host One for All, a celebration of women’s and girls’ hockey, from Feb. 15-18 in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.

Throughout the event, more than 300 girls and women are expected to participate in programming hosted by Hockey Canada and Hockey North, which will include an official opening ceremony, visits from Team Canada alumnae, two IIHF Global Girls’ Games, We Are Coaches clinics, Try Hockey events, on-ice skills and goaltender sessions, off-ice development presentations and much more.

Thursday, Feb. 15

2-5 p.m. – Registration
2-9 p.m. – On-ice sessions (Arctic Winter Games team practices, skills and drills, and power skating for all age groups)
4-7 p.m. – Open gym and free play
5 p.m. – NHL/NHLPA First Shift welcome and equipment fitting
6 p.m. – We Are Coaches (Level 2 clinic)
9 p.m. – Women’s hockey league games

Friday, Feb. 16

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. – On-ice sessions (Arctic Winter Games team practices, skills and drills, small-area games, power skating), off-ice sessions, mental skills and leadership sessions for all age groups
9 a.m-12 p.m. – Hockey Canada alumnae presentation to high school students
9 a.m.-1 p.m. – NHL/NHLPA First Shift, on-ice skills and off-ice mental skills and leadership sessions
3:30 p.m. – Team Northwest Territories and Team Nunavut presentation with Hockey Canada alumnae
3:30 p.m. – Opening ceremonies and Arctic sports demonstration presented by Aboriginal Sport Circle of the NWT
5 p.m. – Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) watch party
5 p.m. – Open skate
5:30 p.m. – Women’s hockey league games
5:30 p.m. – Goaltending Level 1 coach clinic
6:30 p.m. – Hockey Canada alumnae hot stove

Saturday, Feb. 17

8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. – On-ice sessions (Arctic Winter Games team practices, skills and drills, small-area games, power skating), off-ice sessions, mental skills and leadership sessions for all age groups
10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – NHL/NHLPA First Shift, on-ice skills and off-ice mental skills and leadership sessions
11:30 a.m. – Player development presentation (for coaches, parents and players) by Cherie Piper
12 p.m. – Try Goaltending
1 p.m. – Modelling the Way presentation (for coaches, parents and players) by mental performance coach Chelsea Currie
2 p.m. – IIHF Global Girls’ Game (U11)
4:15 p.m. – Try Para Hockey
4:30 p.m. – IIHF Global Girls’ Game (U13)
5:45 p.m. – Try Hockey
7:15 p.m. – Women’s hockey league games

Sunday, Feb. 18

8:30 a.m. – Women’s coaching networking breakfast
9:30 a.m. – Arctic Winter Games exhibition – Team NT vs. Team NU
10 a.m. – On-ice scrimmages and small-area games, off-ice sessions for all age groups
1 p.m. – Try Goaltending
