My Team Canada - Rae Croteau Jr. : 03/26/2009
A rising superstar of the professional chuckwagon racing, Rae Croteau Jr. has spent eight years riding on the Dodge Pro Tour, winning three consecutive Strathmore Heritage Days from 2005-2007, and the Croteau Chuckwagon Team received the WPCA's Equine Outfit of Excellence for best outriding horse 'Amersham' in 2007. As a former member of the Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association, Rae also holds the CPCA track record at the Regina Buffalo Days, was the CPCA’s Top Rookie Outrider in 1996, CPCA Top Rookie Driver in 1999, and CPCA Most Improved Driver in 2000. Rae is a third generation driver – he is the grandson of retired veteran driver Ray Croteau and the son of fellow competitor and championship driver Bert Croteau.

Goaltenders: I’m a big fan of Steve Mason and a sucker for a young hot-shot goalie. He would be my pick to split duties with Brodeur in the round robin.
Defense: My major focus is defensive toughness – hard hitting, hard shooting, hard-nosed d-men. Jason Smith to me is one of the toughest blue liners in the business and would wear his colors proud.
Forwards: There are a few different people on my list than others. Curtis Glencross (my best bud) – his speed and hard hitting would be an asset to lifting the team’s energy. Kris Draper and his defensive skills would also be an asset on the P.K. Pronger and Phaneuf are my pick for the power play with Nash, Thornton and Crosby up front. My captain would, of course, be Jarome Iginla, with Shane Doan and Jason Smith assisting him. We need a tough presence on our team when you are hosting the Olympics; no one comes into our barn and pushes us around! Go Canada!
