TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – CAMBRIDGE HAWKS
The Cambridge Hawks were the last team standing in a down-to-the-wire four-team race for top spot in the Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario; only two points separated first from fourth, with Cambridge finishing with an identical record as Windsor, but earning first place in a tiebreaker. The Hawks put together a pair of a six-game winning streaks and a seven-game run, and had a remarkable 13-2-1 road record. Alex Ritchie paced the Alliance’s second-highest scoring offence (143 goals in 32 games) with 44 points, good for seventh in the league; overall, eight players recorded at least 20 points, and seven hit double digits in goals. In goal, Alex Rawski posted a 14-3 record and 2.48 goals-against average to anchor the defence, which was one of four Alliance teams to allow less than 100 goals.
