TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – NORTHERN SELECTS
The Northern Selects roared out of the gate, starting their season on a 19-game unbeaten streak, and cruised through the NSFMHL to take the regular-season title. Their strong start helped them finish seven points clear of second-place Cape Breton. The Selects were dominant at both ends of the ice, finishing atop the league in goals for (116) and goals against (45). Goaltending got the job done for the Selects; the tandem of Jenna Landry and Lily Currie were one-two in goals-against average – 1.86 and 1.91, respectively – and Landry topped the league with three shutouts.
