2015 IIHF World Junior Championship ticket packages on sale to general public Dec. 30

December 03, 2013

With the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship just over a year away in Toronto and Montreal, the host organizing committee is pleased to announce that ticket packages will be on sale to the general public through www.HockeyCanada.ca/2015Juniors starting at 11:30 a.m. ET on Monday, Dec. 30.

The on-sale time will coincide with Canada’s National Junior Team’s game at the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship against Slovakia. The puck drops on Dec. 26, 2014 in Toronto and Montreal, and ticket packages are expected to sell quickly due to the demand in Canada’s two largest markets.

Montreal will host one preliminary round group, including Team Canada. In total, there will be 13 games played at the Bell Centre, including all four of Canada’s preliminary round games. In addition, all Montreal packages will include one Team Canada pre-tournament game.

Toronto will host the other preliminary round group and all medal round games, for a total of 19 games at the Air Canada Centre. This package will include the bronze medal and gold medal games, both semifinals and a Team Canada pre-tournament game.

The schedule for the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship will be finalized in the spring of 2014 following this year’s tournament in Malmö, Sweden.

Fans that purchase ticket packages to the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship will also have an opportunity to put down their deposit in order to guarantee their seats for the 2017 event, when Canada plays its preliminary round games in Toronto and Montreal will host the medal round.
