Single-Game Tickets and Flex Packages Now Available for 2011 World Junior A Challenge

LANGLEY, B.C. – Hockey Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Junior Hockey League, announced Wednesday single-game ticket information and a flex package option for the 2011 World Junior A Challenge, scheduled for Nov. 7-13 at the Langley Events Centre.

Single-game tickets and ticket packages are available at the Langley Events Centre box office, or through Ticketmaster.

Preliminary round, quarter-finals, fifth-place game and CJHL Prospects Games:
Adults: $15
Seniors/students: $10
Children under 12: $5

Semifinals, bronze medal game, gold medal game:
Adults: $18
Seniors/students: $12
Children under 12: $7

The flex package includes eight tickets, which can be used for one game, or spread out across numerous games. There is a maximum of two tickets available through this package for the gold medal game.

Flex package:
Adults: $96
Seniors/students: $64
Children under 12: $32

Full-tournament 15-game ticket packages are also on sale, including tickets to all 13 games at the 2011 World Junior A Challenge and both CJHL Prospects Games, as well as a free souvenir tournament program for only $150.

Since the first World Junior A Challenge in 2006 in Yorkton and Humboldt, Sask., more than 100 NHL draft picks have played in the tournament, including 13 first-round selections (Beau Bennett, Alexander Burmistrov, Joe Colborne, Nikita Filatov, Dmitri Kulikov, Evgeny Kuznetsov, John Moore, Vladislav Namestnikov, Riley Nash, Dylan Olsen, Jaden Schwartz, Brendan Smith and Kyle Turris).

Every gold medal game at the World Junior A Challenge has featured at least one Canadian team. Canada West won gold at the first two tournaments, in 20, before taking silver in 20. Canada East was silver medallist in 2006, 20 and claimed bronze in 2008.
