2008 IIHF World Championship - Tickets to Four Games Only $80

Quebec, Tuesday, --- The 2008 IIHF World Championship organizing committee, through its co-general manager, Louis Painchaud, announced today, that new ticket packages for the 2008 IIHF World Championship to be held in Quebec City, May 2-18, 2008, are now available. PRELIMINARY ROUND – MAY 2- 7 INCLUSIVELY

Only $80 for a seat at the gallery level. Three 4-game packages are available and will enable fans to see all eight (8) participating teams based in Quebec. These packages are also available at the mezzanine level for $140 and at the box level for $180.

A full preliminary round package is also available for all the games (12 games) as well as a package for games presented in the afternoon or those in the early evening.

QUALIFYING ROUND – MAY 8-13, INCLUSIVELY

Different packages are also offered for the qualifying round. Whether it is for the entire round (12 games) or for the afternoon games or the evening games, there are some interesting opportunities available.

FINAL ROUND – MAY 14-18

Finally, a package that includes tickets to the final round of the tournament is being sold. This package will allow fans to attend two quarter-final games, the two semi-finals, the bronze medal game as well as the gold medal game.

30 - GAME PACKAGE

The organizing committee also took the opportunity to remind fans that packages to attend all 30 games in the galleries are still on sale at $400. With such an affordable offer, the championship directors hope to enable young families, young people and hockey fans of all ages to take part in the celebrations of this event which is being held for the first time ever in Canada. Packages are also on sale for $800 at the mezzanine level and $1,200 at the box level.

2008 IIHF World Championship

The IIHF World Championship gathers the top 16 hockey countries playing 56 exciting games leading to the crowning of a World Champion and in May 2008, the 72nd IIHF World Championship will come to Canada for the first time ever as it will be co-hosted by Halifax and Quebec City from May 2nd to May 18th.

Halifax will host Canada, USA, Finland, Slovakia, Germany, Latvia, Norway and Slovenia, while Quebec City will host Sweden, Russia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Belarus, Denmark, France and Italy.
