TSN has coverage of the Gold Medal Game from the Esso Women’s National Hockey Championship in Sherwood Park, Alta. The tournament features members of Canada's National Women's Team and Canada's Under-22 National Team, as well as players who have participated in the Canada Winter Games and the National Women's Under-18 Challenge. This year’s tournament features 10 teams from nine provinces competing for the coveted National Championship title.

At the IIHF World Women’s Hockey Championship from Halifax/Dartmouth, N.S., TSN will televise two games involving Team Canada plus the Gold Medal Game. Canada’s women's hockey team has participated in every World Championship in tournament history, winning all seven tournaments without ever recording a loss.

TSN celebrates the 30th anniversary of the National Midget Hockey Championship from Kenora, Ont., with coverage of the Gold Medal Game. Formerly known as the Air Canada Cup, the annual event showcases many future NHL players and is the only officially recognized national minor hockey championship in Canada. Current and former NHL stars that have taken part in the tournament include Mike Peca (1990), Joe Sakic (1986), Wendel Clark (1982), Steve Yzerman (1980) and Al MacInnis (1979).

TSN travels to Prague, Czech Republic to provide complete Team Canada coverage of the IIHF Men’s World Hockey Championship. Teams are comprised of NHL players not involved in the NHL playoffs. Last year, Canada took home the gold medal with a 3-2 overtime win against Sweden.

This year’s RBC Royal Bank Cup from Grande Prairie, Alta., marks the first Junior ‘A’ championship to be played without a red line to negate two-line passes. TSN has coverage of the Gold Medal Game from the annual tournament.

The IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship returns to North American soil as the 2005 event will be held in North Dakota. TSN has complete Team Canada coverage, plus action from the quarter-finals, semifinals and Gold Medal Game. TSN’s coverage of the Gold Medal Game from the 2003 World Juniors in Halifax attracted the largest audience in network history with 3.5 million viewers.

The World Under-17 Hockey Challenge rounds out TSN’s Hockey Canada coverage for the upcoming season as the world’s best young players face off to decide international hockey supremacy.
