Event Manager Announced for 2003 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship in Halifax
Halifax, Nova Scotia - The Canadian Hockey Association announced Thursday the appointment of Chris Larsen as Event Manager of the IIHF 2003 World Junior Hockey Championship, being held in Halifax December 26, 2002 - January 5, 2003.
Well-known to the Halifax business and sporting communities, Larsen brings to the position a background in sales, marketing and event management. Most recently, he has been working in marketing as President and Owner of Larsen Marketing Solutions.
Larsen was Director of Sales, Atlantic Canada with Canada Post Corporation for five years and held the position of Director of Sales, Atlantic Canada with Canadian Airlines for twelve years.
Larsen is also the Chair, Host Committee for the 2002 Royal Bank Cup, Junior "A" hockey's National Championship, that will be held in Halifax May 4 .
Larsen will be based in Halifax for this position.
