TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – OTTAWA SENATORS
The Ottawa Senators were the class of the Ontario East Minor Hockey League, finishing 16 points ahead of the OHA Gold Mavericks on the back of a 26-2 regular season. The Senators scored 148 goals in 28 games, an astounding 53 more than their nearest competitor. Troy MacTavish led the Senators and the OEMHL in scoring with 51 points, including a league-leading 25 goals, and finished the season on a 13-game scoring streak. At the other end of the ice, the Senators allowed a league-low 47 goals, 28 fewer than any other team. Goaltenders Johnathan Peacock (20-0-0) and Alex Labreche (6-1-0) were spectacular finishing one-two in goals-against average, at 1.46 and 1.89, respectively.
