DAVOS, Switzerland – Canada’s National Men’s Team has added Matt Climie (Leduc, Alta./Straubing Tigers, GER) to its goaltending line-up at the 2015 Spengler Cup.

Climie, who has played primarily in the American Hockey League since signing with the Dallas Stars in 2008, is in his first season in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, having signed with the Straubing Tigers last May.

Team Canada made the addition following its 2-0 win over tournament-host HC Davos on Monday, where returning netminder Drew MacIntyre suffered an injury in the game.

Canada’s next game is the semifinal on Wednesday, Dec. 30 at 9 a.m. ET.

The full Team Canada roster and Spengler Cup schedule are available online. Canada has appeared in 10 of the last 14 championship games at the Spengler Cup, winning the tournament in 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2012. Overall, Canada’s National Men’s Team has won the Spengler Cup 12 times (1984, 1986, 1987, 1992, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2002, 2003, 2007, 2012) since first taking part in 1984.
