Tavares named Worlds captain
John Tavares will captain Team Canada, joined by alternates Andrew Mangiapane, Colton Parayko and Damon Severson.
Canada wins U18 Worlds gold
Gavin McKenna had a hat trick and an assist and Carter George made 31 saves as Canada defeated the U.S. 6-4 for gold.
Canada wins Women’s Worlds gold in OT thriller
Danielle Serdachny was the overtime hero, banging in a power-play goal 5:16 into the extra frame to give Canada a 6-5 win over the United States and its 13th gold medal.
