TEAM ONTARIO 1 : The Mississauga Aeros are proud to represent the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association at the 2007 Esso Women’s Nationals in Salmon Arm. The Aeros organization has a long and storied history at the Esso Women’s Nationals, winning numerous medals, and is a five-time champion. Most recently, the team won back-to-back titles in 2004 and 2005.

The Aeros play in the Central Division of the NWHL and the team is comprised of players ranging in age from 18 to 31. Twelve players from this season’s team have attended previous Esso Women’s Nationals. Proudly, three players will be graduating from the team this year to attend NCAA universities. The Aeros have also helped many players achieve their goals of playing for provincial programs of excellence and Canada’s National Women’s Team. This season the Aeros have also had the opportunity to play exhibition games against Team Sweden and the OWHA’s Team Ontario U18.

We would like to thank the numerous sponsors that have supported the team this season, including our presenting sponsor, the Mississauga Ice Dogs. Many thanks go to the support staff that work tirelessly each week, to family and friends that support the players, and lastly the fans that make women’s hockey so special.

Best of luck to the organizers, the volunteers and the city of Salmon Arm for their efforts this week to host a successful championship.
