OTTAWA, Ontario – As organizations across Canada celebrate the tremendous volunteers in our country during National Volunteer Week, Hockey Canada has announced it has launched the TELUS World Juniors Volunteer Program for the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship in Ottawa.

“Hosting the World Juniors would simply not be possible without talented and passionate volunteers who positively impact the tournament. In doing so, they get to experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” said Dean McIntosh, Hockey Canada’s senior vice-president of revenue, fan experience and community impact. “We hope fans in and around the National Capital Region looking to contribute to the success of the World Juniors will sign up for the program, and with the support of TELUS, will help ensure this year’s tournament will be one that leaves an unforgettable legacy in the community.”

Volunteer roles at the 2025 World Juniors include team services, game operations, fan experience, media services, venue operations and transportation. A full list of volunteer opportunities can be found here.

“With a shared vision to leverage the power of sport to make a meaningful impact in our local communities, we are proud to partner with Hockey Canada to launch the TELUS World Juniors Volunteer Program, helping support the incredible efforts and impact of volunteerism,” said Patrick Barron, vice-president of corporate citizenship & community investment at TELUS. “For over two decades, TELUS’ long-standing Give Where We Live philosophy continues to inspire communities across Canada. Volunteers are the backbone of any successful endeavor and the World Juniors is no exception. The TELUS World Juniors Volunteer Program is a great way for passionate hockey fans to give back and to be a part of the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship in Ottawa.”

As part of the initiative, selected volunteers will participate in engaging training, a volunteer recognition program, and surprise and delights throughout the tournament, and play an important role in delivering one of international hockey’s largest events.

Registration for the TELUS World Juniors Volunteer Program will close on June 30.
