On the ice and off, McDonald’s atoMc Hockey is recognizing some of the best in minor hockey

McDonald’s atoMc Hockey is all about TEAMWORK. Being a great teammate can be exemplified in a variety of ways, and in minor hockey these qualities are not always seen on the scoresheet. Cheering on teammates from the bench or showing strong commitment to the team during practices and games may go unnoticed at times, but atoMc Hockey believes it is important to recognize and celebrate these acts of sportsmanship throughout the season.

The Golden Moment jersey, which is provided to each atoMc team at the beginning of the season, is awarded to one player after each game who demonstrates the meaning of being a great teammate. The Golden Moment could be awarded for on-ice accomplishments, encouraging teammates, or by improving as a hockey player from one game to the next. Acknowledging excellent sportsmanship has a positive impact for players both on and off the ice and McDonald's is proud to be part of that.

The atoMc Hockey program encourages players to celebrate their Golden Moments with their friends and family across the country. Through the online Golden Moments gallery, Golden Moment recipients have the ability to share a picture of themselves wearing the golden jersey. Once the photo is uploaded, teammates, friends and family are able to support them by voting for their photo. The team that receives the most votes on their players’ photos during each voting period will win an atoMc Hockey prize.

PRIZES

There are three great prizes to be given out to Golden Moments contest winners throughout the 2015-16 season. The contest is broken down into three periods throughout the hockey season, with a prize awarded to the team who receives the most votes on their players photos by the end of each period.
