On May 9, Canada's national Junior A champions will have the chance to hoist the RBC Cup in Dauphin, Man. Between now and then, fans in Manitoba will get the chance to do the same, thanks to the 2010 RBC Trophy Tour.

The tour kicked off Friday, March 12 and followed the Dauphin vs. Swan Valley MJHL semifinal series before embarking on its cross-province tour that will finish in Dauphin in the week prior to the 40th National Junior A Championship.

“Over the last few years the RBC Trophy Tour has been very successful, and we’re looking forward to much of the same leading up to the 2010 RBC Cup,” said Randy Daley, co-chair of the host committee. “We’re not too far away from the first puck being dropped, and you can really start to feel the excitement in the city the closer we get to May 1.”

The 2010 RBC Cup runs from May 1-9 at Credit Union Place in Dauphin and will feature five teams - representatives from the Central, East, West and Pacific regions, along with the host Dauphin Kings.

"Through our long-time partnership with Hockey Canada, RBC is thrilled to bring Canada’s National Junior A Championship to western Manitoba and the City of Dauphin," said Terry Burgess, RBC’s regional vice-president for Manitoba West. "You won't find any better hockey fans than those right here, and I know RBC and Dauphin will make this RBC Cup one to remember!"
