Single-Game Tickets Go on Sale for the First 24 Games
The 2008 IIHF World Championship organizing committee, through its Co-director General, Louis Painchaud, announced today that single tickets to attend the first 24 games of the 2008 IIHF World Championship which will be held in Quebec from May 2-18, 2008, will go on sale starting tomorrow morning, March 6, at 10 a.m. at the Colisée Pepsi ticket office and through the Billetech network.
PRELIMINARY ROUND – MAY 2-7 INCLUSIVELY
Ticket prices to attend preliminary round games will be as follows: $45 for a box seat, $35 for a mezzanine
seat and $20 for a gallery seat. A total of 12 games will be played during the preliminary round.
QUALIFYING ROUND – MAY 8-13 INCLUSIVELY
As for the qualifying round games, fans will be able to purchase single tickets for $60 in the boxes, $45 at
the mezzanine level and $30 in the galleries. Nine games will be played in the qualification round. Teams
will take part in the qualifying round according to the standings after the preliminary round. Three
relegation games will also be played and the cost of the tickets to attend those games will be the same as
for the preliminary round.
30-GAME PACKAGE
The organizing committee also took the occasion to remind fans that 30-game ticket packages are still
available for $400 at the gallery level, for $800 at the mezzanine level and for $1,200 in the boxes.

SIX-GAME PACKAGE – FINAL ROUND – MAY 14-18
Lastly, packages to attend the final round of the tournament are still available at a cost of $745 in the
boxes, $570 at the mezzanine level and $335 at the gallery level. This package gives fans access to two
quarter final games, the two semi-final games and the gold and bronze medal games. No single-game
tickets are currently on sale for these games.

2008 IIHF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
The IIHF World Championship will reunite the 16 top hockey countries in the world for 56 exciting games
leading up to the crowning of the world champions. From May 2-18, 2008, Halifax and Quebec City will host the
72nd IIHF World Championship which is being held in Canada for the first time ever.
Quebec City will host Sweden, Russia, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Belarus, Denmark, France and Italy while Halifax will host Canada, the United States, Finland, Slovakia, Germany, Latvia, Norway and Slovenia.
