Canada’s National Junior Team and Rivals in Prep for 2009 IIHF World Junior Championship

OTTAWA, ON – Hockey Canada, along with the Canadian Hockey League, announced on Friday details for IIHF World Junior Championship pre-competition camps scheduled for southern Ontario from December 16-23.

The ten teams competing in the 2009 IIHF World Junior Championship, including Canada’s National Junior Team, will be training in various communities leading up to the tournament, including ten pre-tournament games featuring the best junior-aged players in the world.

NOTE TO MEDIA – Media looking to attend any practices at CFB Petawawa should register in advance for access. Please note that the military personnel at CFB Petawawa will be assisting Canada’s National Junior Team with an activity on the morning of Tuesday, December 16. There will be a media opportunity at 10 a.m. EST during the first portion of this activity.
