Bid Process Open for 2009 and 2010 Hockey Canada Events
CALGARY, AB – Hockey Canada announced Friday that it has opened the bid process that will determine the host cities for Hockey Canada events taking place during the 2009-10 season.
More than 110,000 fans attended Hockey Canada events in 2006-07, held across the country from Prince George, BC, to Yorkton, SK. As well, more than 580,000 people watched Hockey Canada events on TSN/RDS, the official broadcaster of Hockey Canada.
Bid guidelines are currently available for the following Hockey Canada events:
2009 National Women’s Under-18 Championship
2009 World Junior A Challenge
2010 World Under-17 Challenge
2010 Esso Women’s Nationals
2010 TELUS Cup (regional rotation – 2010 Hockey Quebec)

2008 National Women’s Under-18 Championship – Napanee, ON
2008 World Junior A Challenge – To be announced
2009 World Under-17 Challenge – Port Alberni, BC
2008 Esso Women’s Nationals – Charlottetown, PEI
2008 TELUS Cup – Arnprior, ON, 2009 Selkirk, MB
2008 RBC Cup – Cornwall, ON, 2009 Victoria, BC
