Curtis Hamilton and Quinton Howden scored first period goals to kick start the offence as Canada advanced to a 10th consecutive World Junior gold medal game. It’ll face Russia on Wednesday in a rematch of the Boxing Day opener.

Casey Cizikas scored the game-winning goal late in the second period and Brayden Schenn added two assists to his tournament-leading point total as Canada set up a much-anticipated semifinal showdown with the U.S. with a win.

Brayden Schenn became just the third Canadian to score four goals in a World Junior game, joining Lemieux and GagnГ©, and added an assist for good measure, as Canada stayed undefeated in Group B with a win.
