CANADA HOLDS ON TO NO. 1 SPOT FOR 2010

Canada’s National Women’s Team has 2950 points in the IIHF ranking system after finishing second at the recent IIHF World Women’s Championship in Harbin. Canada is the top-ranked team going into the 2010 Winter Olympics, followed by Team USA (2930), Finland (2770), Sweden (2760), Switzerland (2645) and Russia (2575). The other two spots for 2010 will be filled during the 2008-09 season.
