The 2008 RBC Cup Needs Volunteers!
The host organizing committee of the 2008 RBC Cup is putting out a call for volunteers.
“We are currently looking for assistance in all areas,” says Donna Beaudette, volunteer chair for the National Junior A Championship. “We are receiving volunteer forms fairly steadily, but we have a specific need for drivers and people to work on security. No special experience is necessary and some training will be provided to all volunteers.”
Volunteers are required weekends and weekdays, afternoons and evenings, from May 3rd to 11th. This is a great opportunity to support the community, meet new people, and work alongside friends and neighbors. With the end of the school year quickly approaching, the timing of the championship is perfect for high school students who still must accomplish their required volunteer hours.
Cornwall will be on the national stage during the 2008 RBC Cup and our volunteers will definitely play a large part in ensuring that we put our best foot forward.”
Volunteer forms can be obtained at the Team Cornwall office at Cornwall Square, the Cornwall & Seaway Valley Tourism office at 11 Water Street West, the Cornwall Civic Complex Office, either of the Royal Bank branches or online.
