The Rock, Mariners and Terriers were Wednesday winners at the Centennial Cup in Portage la Prairie. 

The Timmins Rock found their form, the Yarmouth Mariners navigated their way to the playoffs and the Portage Terriers won in the dying seconds of the third to cap off a thrilling final day of preliminary action at Canada’s National Junior A Championship

2023 Centennial Cup: Day 7 – Wednesday, May 17 

Battlefords, Bandits and Jr. Sens pick up a crucial three points as preliminary round draws near. 

The Brooks Bandits hammered the Rock, the Jr. Senators held off a late surge from the Mariners and Battlefords moved atop the Group B standings after fending off a late-game comeback by the Terriers.

2023 Centennial Cup: Day 5 – Monday, May 15 

The Cobras de Terrebonne and Steinbach Pistons earned important victories Sunday at the Centennial Cup.

The Cobras de Terrebonne downed the Timmins Rock while the Steinbach Pistons dispatched the Kam River Fighting Walleye with a five-goal performance as both teams found the win column for the first time at Canada’s National Junior A Championship.

2023 Centennial Cup: Day 4 – Sunday, May 14 

The Bandits, Blues and Terriers all earned their second wins Saturday at the National Junior A Championship.

The Portage Terriers set a new Centennial Cup record for most goals in a game, the Collingwood Blues capitalized on Noah Pak's 36-save performance and the defending champions Brooks Bandits, put five past Ottawa to secure their second straight win of the tournament.

2023 Centennial Cup: Day 2 – Saturday, May 13

Battlefords, Brooks and Collingwood were opening-day winners.

The Battlefords North Stars, Brooks Bandits and Collingwood Blues found the win column on opening day at the #CentennialCup.

2023 Centennial Cup: Day 1 – Thursday, May 11 

Brooks came from behind and downed Pickering to win its third national title.

<p style="">The Brooks Bandits scored twice in 14 seconds to turn a deficit into a lead early in the third period, and added a pair of insurance markers to down the Pickering Panthers and win the 2022 Centennial Cup, presented by Tim Hortons.</p>

2022 Centennial Cup: May 21 (Preliminary)

Boyko scored twice to lead the Bandits to their second national title.

Simon Boyko opened and closed the scoring for the Brooks Bandits, and the host team rode a three-goal first period to a 4-3 win over the Prince George Spruce Kings and a second title at Canada’s National Junior A Championship.

2019 NJAC: BRO 4 – PG 3 (Championship)

Neaton turned aside 32 shots to lead the Spruce Kings into the final.

Nick Poisson and Ben Brar scored 1:45 in the second period and Logan Neaton made 32 saves, sending the Prince George Spruce Kings past the Oakville Blades 2-1 and into the championship game at the 2019 National Junior A Championship.

2019 NJAC: PG 2 – OAK 1 (Semifinal)

Boyko scored and set up the GWG to send the Bandits to the final.

Simon Boyko opened the scoring in the first period and set up the game-winner in the third, and the Brooks Bandits survived a wild third period to edge the Ottawa Jr. Senators 4-3 and book their place in the final at the 2019 National Junior A Championship.

2019 NJAC: BRO 4 – OTT 3 (Semifinal)

Lucas scored the GWG to lead the Bandits to a perfect prelims.

Andrew Lucas scored the game-winning goal with 13 minutes left, helping the Brooks Bandits finish off a perfect preliminary round at the 2019 National Junior A Championship with a thrilling 3-1 win over the Prince George Spruce Kings.

2019 NJAC: BRO 3 – PG 1 (Preliminary)

Reeves scored a hat trick to help the Blades secure third place.

Peyton Reeves had a hat trick and Kyle Potts added a goal and two assists to help the Oakville Blades close out the preliminary round at the 2019 National Junior A Championship with a 7-4 win over the Ottawa Jr. Senators.

2019 NJAC: OAK 7 – OTT 4 (Preliminary)

The Spruce Kings held the Terriers to 10 shots in a convincing win.

Dylan Anhorn, Chong Min Lee and Ben Brar scored goals in the first period, and the Prince George Spruce Kings held the Portage Terriers to just 10 shots to keep their perfect record intact with a 5-1 win at the 2019 National Junior A Championship.

2019 NJAC: PG 5 – POR 1 (Preliminary)

Vachon and Lee scored goals to help the Bandits remain undefeated.

Arnaud Vachon and Jakob Lee scored in the first period, and the Brooks Bandits survived an all-world goaltending performance from Francis Boisvert to down the Ottawa Jr. Senators 2-1 at the 2019 National Junior A Championship.

2019 NJAC: BRO 2 – OTT 1 (Preliminary)

Kersten finished with 1G 3A to lead the Blades to their first victory.

Spencer Kersten led the offence with a goal and three assists, and the Oakville Blades survived a third-period comeback to edge the Portage Terriers 5-4 and secure a spot in the semifinals at the 2019 National Junior A Championship.

2019 NJAC: OAK 5 – POR 4 (Preliminary)

Brar had 1G 1A and Neaton made 13 saves to lead the Spruce Kings.

Ben Brar had a goal and an assist, Dylan Anhorn and Patrick Cozzi added two helpers apiece and Logan Neaton made 13 saves to help the Prince George Spruce Kings remain unbeaten with a 4-0 win over the Ottawa Jr. Senators at the 2019 National Junior A Championship.

2019 NJAC: PG 4 – OTT 0 (Preliminary)

Gravel scored twice in the third period to help the Bandits come back.

Simon Gravel scored twice in the third period, including the game-winning goal in the first minute, to help the Brooks Bandits complete the comeback and down the Portage Terriers 5-3 at the 2019 National Junior A Championship.

2019 NJAC: BRO 5 – POR 3 (Preliminary)

The Spruce Kings scored five unanswered goals to beat the Blades.

Chong Min Lee, Patrick Cozzi and Ben Poisson had goals in the decisive second period, and the Prince George Spruce Kings scored five times unanswered to earn a 5-1 win over the Oakville Blades at the 2019 National Junior A Championship.

2019 NJAC: PG 5 – OAK 1 (Preliminary)

Bast had two goals and an assist to lead the Bandits past the Blades.

Luke Bast scored a pair of goals and set up another, 13 players had points and the Brooks Bandits used a five-goal first period to earn a tournament-opening 7-3 win over the Oakville Blades at the 2019 National Junior A Championship.

2019 NJAC: BRO 7 – OAK 3 (Preliminary)

Walsh, Boulerice and Jackson had 1G 1A each to lead the Jr. Senators.

Francis Boisvert made 20 saves for the shutout, and Darcy Walsh, &Eacute;lie Boulerice and Kyle Jackson had a goal and an assist each to lead the Ottawa Jr. Senators past the Portage Terriers 3-0 at the 2019 National Junior A Championship.
