2001 IIHF World Junior Championship

Best Christmas present I ever received.
Alex Auld
Without a doubt goalie pads when I was 12 years old. I woke up at about 4 in the morning. It was really cold in the house, so I got up and looked downstairs. The door was wide open. My parents had set my pads up with my other goalie equipment sitting in a chair. I thought someone was in our living room and went screaming to my parents.
Mark Popovic
An electric guitar when I was 9 years old
Mike Zigomanis
I got a table top hockey game when I was 9 or 10. Hours and hours of fun.
Derek MacKenzie
I got a real hockey net when I was 16. Not one of the fake ones. A real one. I love playing ball hockey so this was a great present to get.
The first goal I remember scoring.
Jason Jaspers
I was 8 years old and it was against Nu-Steel. I remember that they were wearing white jerseys. The goalie went down and I took my first wrist shot and put it up under the crossbar.
Jay Bouwmeester
It was in Novice off of a faceoff. I cut in towards the net and went shelf.
Jason Spezza
I don't remember the goal but I remember my mom having a video of me at four years old talking about a goal I scored with West Mall. But I don't know how I scored it.
Steve Ott
With the Kirkland Westwood Ninja Turtles in Winnipeg. I was on a breakaway. I couldn't raise it yet so I slid it on the ice stickside.
Dan Hamhuis
I don't remember scoring before my last year of novice. It was in Hazelton, BC and it was sort of an end to end rush. I crossed the blueline and I remember roofing it over the goalie.
