The Brampton Thunder Hockey Club has been in existence for 4 seasons now and has accomplished many things in their short life. In their first season they captured the Bronze medal in the Ontario Provincial Championships and then proceeded to Ottawa to capture the Eastern Canadian Championships. As Members of the National Women's Hockey League they have reached the Western Division Finals 3 years in a row and are hosting the N.W.H.L. Championships this year in Brampton. Brampton has supplied many players to Colleges and University programs and has supplied Team Canada National Team and Team Canada Under 22 program with players. The last 2 years Brampton has won the silver medal at the Ontario Championships. The biggest accomplishment the Brampton program has achieved is its community involvement. The Thunder participates in the community of Brampton in several different charities and helps promote women's hockey within the City of Brampton.
