Drew George scored twice and added an assist and Christopher Gibson turned aside all 43 shots he faced for the shutout as Notre Dame claimed its first national title in 23 years.

Alexandre Lavoie scored twice as the Rousseau Sports earned Quebec’s 12th-consecutive medal at the National Midget Championship with a victory over a tired Thrashers team.

CALGARY 7 – WINNIPEG 0 SEMIFINAL | SAT. APR. 25
Dylan Nowakowski had two goals and an assist and Joel Lowry scored once and added two helpers as the Buffaloes advanced to the gold medal game for the second time in four years.

LAVAL-BOURASSA 4 – NOTRE DAME 6 SEMIFINAL | SAT. APR. 25
Lucas Froese, the only Manitoban on the Notre Dame roster, scored the game-winner with 2:21 left, sending the Hounds to the gold medal game for the first time since 1987.
