Russia took a 2-1 lead heading into the third period. Five minutes into the final frame, Igor Velichkin gave the Russians a 3-1 goal lead. However, Team Pacific pulled within one when Gilbert Brule scored a short-handed goal with just over five minutes left in the third. Brule added his second of the night for Team Pacific when he scored with only 2:38 left in the game to tie the score a 3-3. Carey Price, the goalie with Team Pacific finished with 27 saves, and Russian netminder, Ilja Proskuryakov had 32 saves on the night.
