WJAC Experience: Canada West – 2008 | Silver Medal
WJAC Statistics: 4 GP 0G 4A 4P

NHL Entry Draft: St. Louis Blues 2010 (1st round, 14th overall)
NHL Statistics (as of Dec. 5): 214 GP 62G 77A 139P

Other International Experience:
2009 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (fourth place)
2009 Memorial of Ivan Hlinka Tournament (gold medal)
2011 IIHF World Junior Championship (silver medal)
2012 IIHF World Junior Championship (bronze medal)

At the WJAC: The first 16-year-old to play for Canada at the World Junior A Challenge, Schwartz wore red and white alongside older brother Rylan in Camrose, Alta., helping Canada West reach its third consecutive gold medal game in search of its third consecutive gold.

Schwartz had an assist in the tournament opener, a shocking 4-3 shootout loss to Belarus, but rebounded with three helpers in a 5-2 win over Russia that clinched first place for the Canadians. Unfortunately, West would come up one win short, falling to the United States in the gold medal game.

After the WJAC: After a season in the USHL Schwartz enrolled at Colorado College, playing twice at the IIHF World Junior Championship and captaining Team Canada at the 2012 world juniors. He left school after his sophomore season to join the St. Louis Blues, who had selected him 14th in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

After splitting his first pro season between St. Louis and its AHL affiliate in Peoria, Schwartz cracked the Blues’ roster for good in 2013-14; he is in his third full NHL season, having reached the 25-goal plateau in each of his first two years and finishing third in St. Louis scoring with a career high 63 points in 2014-15.
