TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – COLE HARBOUR WOLFPACK
How good was the Cole Harbour Wolfpack in 2015-16? Not even a three-game losing streak to end the season could stop them from claiming top spot in the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League. After the puck dropped to open the season Sept. 16, it took 22 games – more than two months – for Cole Harbour to lose its first game. The fast start enabled the Wolfpack to hold off the defending Atlantic Region champions, the Dartmouth Major Midgets (formerly Newbridge Academy), by a single point. Cole Harbour scored 171 goals and allowed 82, both good enough for second in the NSMMHL, both behind Dartmouth. Alexander Arab (17-35—52), Connor Peveril (23-25—48) and Andrew Martell (20-28—48) finished two-three-four in league scoring, while rookie netminder Lucas Fitzpatrick (16-3, 1.78 GAA, .928 SV%, 2 SO) co-led the NSMMHL in wins, and sat second in goals-against average, save percentage, and shutouts.
