TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – ROCKY MOUNTAIN RAIDERS

Only six points separated the top four teams after the 32-game AMMFHL regular season. In the end, the three wins in four games the Rocky Mountain Raiders had against their closest pursuer, the Sherwood Park Fury, gave the team the breathing room it needed to take top spot and put an exclamation mark on a 15-point improvement from last season. The league’s best offence was led by Nicolette Seper; seven of her league-leading 23 goals proved to be game-winners. She was joined in the top 10 by Paige Russell (eight goals, 16 assists), Lacey Dimaulo (11 goals, 12 assists) and Breanne Trotter (10 goals, 13 assists). All told, seven Raiders scored at least 20 points and another six also hit double-digits. The goaltending duo of Katie Lloyd and Erin Fargey was a tandem in every sense of the word: they played nearly identical minutes (959 versus 956), made exactly the same number of saves (398) and almost split the team’s wins (12 and 11).
