Road to the 2018 RBC Cup: LHJQ
The Cobras de Terrebonne finished with an unbelievable +206 goal differential to repeat atop the Ligue de hockey junior du Québec
The first Quebec team to win its way to the RBC Cup since 2006, the Cobras de Terrebonne followed it up with a second-consecutive regular-season title in the LHJQ. The Cobras ran off nine wins in a row to open their schedule and never looked back, finishing eight points up on Longueuil. Terrebonne was consistent from start to finish, posting win streaks of eight (Sept. 7-Oct. 1), seven (Oct. 22-Nov. 12) and 10 (Nov. 24-Jan. 5), and never losing consecutive games. The Cobras finished with a ridiculous +206 goal differential, averaging more than seven goals a game (347 in 49 games), with scoring champion Brendan Hamelin (36-86—122) the first of three Terrebonne skaters in the top six, and six in the top 20.
