Memories of the 2001 RBC Cup

“They’re some of the greatest memories of my life. The whole experience of the playoffs leading up to the RBC Cup was truly amazing, and then the tournament itself. The Camrose Kodiaks organization was only in its fourth year of existence, so we had a fairly young and inexperienced team. I think this really helped us because I don't think we had any real expectations to win. We were able to play hard, have fun and win with one of the most talented teams I have ever been a part of.”

“Flin Flon was a great host, the arena was rich with tradition and the fans were extremely passionate. I still remember the fans throwing a moose leg on the ice after we won and Craig Perry brought it home on the bus with us.”

Memories of Camrose

“Playing in Camrose was extra special for me because I grew up in Daysland, just 25 minutes southeast of Camrose, so I was able to have friends and family at all of our games. Playing in the old Max McLean Arena was fun; other teams hated to come into our rink with a packed house of loud, passionate Kodiak fans.

“I have to thank my family, billets, friends and fans for a great experience.”
