SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. – Hockey Canada has added forward Ryan Chyzowski (Kamloops, B.C./Medicine Hat, WHL) to the Team Canada White roster for the 2016 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., Oct. 27-Nov. 5.

Chyzowski, drafted 18th overall by the Tigers in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft, will be the third member of his family to wear the Team Canada crest; his father, Dave, captained Canada to a gold medal at the 1990 IIHF World Junior Championship, while his brother, Nick, won silver with Pacific at the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

He replaces Joe Veleno (Kirkland, Que./Saint John, QMJHL) who is unable to participate due to a lower-body injury. Veleno, 16, was a member of Team Canada Black at the 2015 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, and represented Canada at the 2016 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup in August.

Action gets underway Oct. 27 in Sault Ste. Marie

Official tournament action gets underway on Sunday, Oct. 30, when Team Canada Red takes on Finland at 12 p.m. ET, followed by Team Canada Black facing 2015 gold-medallist Team Canada White, at 4 p.m. ET.

A full-tournament ticket package, which includes tickets to all 17 tournament games at the Essar Centre, is available for purchase online. Tickets to the five tournament games at the John Rhodes Community Centre, as well as all four exhibition games on Oct. 27, will be available at the door.

Beginning today, fans can also purchase single-game tickets for all games hosted at the Essar Centre. Available at the box office and starting at $15 for preliminary-round games and $20 for playoff action, fans can get front-row access to all of the action and see the greats of tomorrow.
