2015 IIHF World Junior Championship begins Friday in Toronto Ont. and Montreal Que.

TORONTO, Ont./MONTREAL, Que. – The 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship gets underway Friday, Dec. 26 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto and Bell Centre in Montreal.

Canada’s National Junior Team will be joined by Finland, Germany, Slovakia and the United States in Group A, based out of Montreal, while the Czech Republic, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland and Russia will play in Group B in Toronto.

The tournament begins with Russia meeting Denmark in Toronto at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT. Canada opens against Slovakia on Friday night in Montreal, with puck drop scheduled for 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Every game at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship will be shown by TSN and RDS, the official broadcasters of Hockey Canada. Check local listings for broadcast times in your area.

Tickets are still available in both host cities.

Single-game tickets are on sale in Montreal for all 12 games at the Bell Centre, including four Team Canada preliminary round games and two-quarter-finals, starting at just $25. In addition, three mini ticket packages, including either four or five games, and all featuring at least one Team Canada game, are on sale starting at $170, plus applicable fees.

In Montreal, 12-game ticket packages include four Team Canada preliminary round games, six other round robin games, and two quarter-finals.

In Toronto, 18-game packages include 10 preliminary round games, two quarter-finals, two relegation round games, two semifinals, the bronze medal game and gold medal game.

As Hockey Canada celebrates its 100th anniversary, the Century Tour is travelling across the country, celebrating Canada’s game throughout the season with support from Respect Group, Heritage Canada, TELUS, Samsung and Canadian Tire. Visiting 100 communities, the tour brings with it several interactive elements. From the Century Tour caravan powered by Samsung, to the TELUS Family Fan Zone and more, the tour has something for fans of all ages. At every stop, the Century Tour also honours a Canadian Tire Hero of Play, someone who has donated time and effort over several years back into their local hockey community.

The Hockey Canada Century Tour will be in Montreal until Dec. 31, before moving to Toronto from Jan. 2-5.
