TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – OHA GOLD MAVERICKS
One of two Ontario Hockey Academy teams competing in the OEMHL this season – the Maroon Mavericks finished in
the league basement – OHA Gold used a 9-0-3 run over its last 12 games, and a 4-0 record against the
second-place Ottawa Jr. 67’s, to finish with a four-point cushion atop the OEMHL standings, holding off the
Jr. 67’s, who won their last 11 to keep pace. Alex White finished with league-leading totals of 25 goals and
54 points to pace an offence that racked up 144 goals in 32 games, 12 more than any other team, while
goaltender Zach Fortin and his 1.78 GAA backstopped a defence that allowed just 71 goals, second in the
league.
