CALGARY, ALBERTA - Defenceman Duncan Keith, of the Michigan State Spartans, has been added to Canada's National Junior Team Development Camp roster.

Keith has been added because defenceman Matthew Spiller, of the WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds, has not sufficiently recovered from shoulder surgery to take part in any drills involving contact or any of the four intersquad games.

Keith, 19, has never represented Canada at the international level but did attend the National Junior Team's Selection Camp in December, 2001. The native of Penticton, BC scored 3 goals and added 12 assists in his freshman season with Michigan State in 2001-2002. Keith was a 2nd round selection of the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

Canada's National Junior Team's Development Camp runs from August 10-20, 2002 in Halifax, NS.
