Teams Red and White took to the ice twice on Monday, as the National Junior Team Development Camp continues in Calgary, at the Father David Bauer Arena. The Red vs. White intersquad games only get going on Wednesday so on day two of camp, the players continue to get accustomed to both the coaches systems, and their new linemates.

Team Red has Jonathan Bernier and Tyler Plante in net. Leland Irving will not be taking part in camp, as he continues to recover from a groin injury suffered in last year’s WHL playoffs.

On defence, as it stands now, the defence pairings for Team Red are as follows: Marc Staal and Ryan Parent, Kris Russell and Cody Franson, Karl Alzner and John de Gray and Patrick McNeill and Marc-Édouard Vlasic.

Up front, the coaches have started with the following lines: Dérick Brassard centring Steve Downie and Guillaume Latendresse, Tom Pyatt between Claude Giroux and Ryan Russell, Ryan O’Marra with Codey Burki and Kenndal McArdle on the wings and finally Jordan Staal between Cody Bass and Darren Helm.

Team White’s goaltending is in the hands of Jean-Philippe Levasseur and Carey Price. On the blueline, pairings for the first two days of camp were as follows: Luc Bourdon and Kristopher Letang, Marc-André Gragnani and Ben Shutron, Ty Wishart and Dustin Kohn and Keaton Ellerby with Scott Jackson.

Team White’s four lines are : Andrew Cogliano between Daniel Bertram and James Sheppard, Jonathan Toews centring Brad Marchand and Chris Stewart, Justin Azevedo with James Neal and Marc-André Cliche on the wings and Bryan Little centring Zach Hamill and Daniel Ryder.

Tuesday will be the last day for the lines and pairings to get comfortable together, because it will be Game Day on Wednesday. All games and practices are open to the public free of charge.
