TORONTO () – TSN takes hockey fans across the Atlantic for exclusive Canadian coverage of the 2003 IIHF Men’s World Hockey Championship from Finland from April 26 to May 11.

TSN drops the puck on Saturday, April 26 at 8:50 a.m. ET with first round coverage as Team Canada takes on Team Belarus. TSN’s first round coverage continues on Sunday, April 27 at 8:50 a.m. ET with Canada vs. Latvia and on Tuesday, April 29 at 12:50 p.m. ET with Canada vs. Sweden. (Please see broadcast schedule.)

TSN will televise up to 10 games throughout the two-week tournament including all of Team Canada’s early and qualification round matches along with the quarter-finals and semifinals. TSN’s coverage culminates with the gold medal game on Sunday, May 11 at 8:50 a.m. ET.

TSN’s Dave Randorf will be on-site in Finland to handle the play-by-play alongside veteran Colour Commentator Gary Green. Rod Black and Terry Crisp, former coach of the Calgary Flames and Tampa Bay Lightning and assistant coach of the silver medal-winning Canadian team at the 1992 Olympic Winter Games, will anchor the TSN control show from Toronto. The pair will provide viewers with previews, highlights, analysis and tournament updates.

TSN’s complete 2003 IIHF World Hockey Championship broadcast schedule is as follows:

• Saturday, April 26 Canada vs. Belarus 8:50 a.m. ET

• Sunday, April 27 Canada vs. Latvia 8:50 a.m. ET

• Tuesday, April 29 Canada vs. Sweden 12:50 p.m. ET

• Friday, May 2 to Tuesday, May 6 – Three playoff games featuring Team Canada

• Wednesday, May 7 Quarter-final TBA

• Friday, May 9 Semifinal TBA

• Sunday, May 11 Gold Medal Game 9:50 a.m. ET

*Should Canada appear in the Bronze Medal game, TSN will televise the Bronze Medal game in its entirety on Saturday, May 10 at 9:50 a.m. ET.

Led by Los Angeles Kings Head Coach Andy Murray, this year’s Team Canada roster features a strong NHL contingent that includes Detroit Red Wings ‘Grind Line’ buddies Kris Draper and Kirk Maltby, Atlanta Thrashers sophomore phenom Dany Heatley, and Edmonton Oilers stars Eric Brewer, Mike Comrie and Ryan Smyth. Smyth, a member of Canada's 2002 Olympic gold medal-winning team, will be making his fifth consecutive appearance at the World Championship.
