CALGARY, AB - Canada's Full-time National Men's Team will hold evaluation camps in Caledon, ON and in Calgary, AB to identify potential players for it's 1999-2000 Team, National Team Head Coach and General Manager Mike Johnston announced today.

The first camp will be held at the Teen Ranch, in Caledon, ON (40 km north of Toronto) from June 6th to 9th, with pratices going daily 9-11 am. Intra-squad games will be held every night of the camp, at 5:45 pm on June 7th, at 7:30 pm on June 8th, and at 2:30 pm on June 9th.

The second camp will be held at the Father Bauer Arena in Calgary, AB from June 10th to 13th.

Approximately 65 players are expected at each camp. All these players have enrolled over the past month.

Following the camps, Head Coach Mike Johnston, Assistant Coach Willie Desjardins and ten evaluators will assess the players. The Team will get together in Calgary at the beginning of September.

Canada's National Men's Team represents Canada at numerous international tournaments such as the Sweden Games, the Var Cup in Norway, the Baltic Cup in Russia and the Spengler Cup in Switzerland. The Team also plays a number of exhibition games throughout Canada.

During the 1998-1999, players Fred Brathwaite, Doug Lidster and Shawn Heins began the season with the National Team only to move onto the National Hockey League during the course of the year.
