ANAHEIM, CA -- Victor Gervais of Prince George, BC scored three goals and assisted on another to pace Team Canada to a 13-6 victory over Germany at the IIHF World In-Line Hockey Championship on Tuesday.

The victory was Canada's second-straight, following a 14-4 rout of Austria in their tournament-opening game on Monday. Canada plays its final round-robin game against Switzerland tonight (Wednesday) at 4:30 pm PDT.

Glen Metropolit of Toronto and Darren Colbourne of Corner Brook, NF, each scored twice for Canada, which built a 5-2 lead after the first quarter and held a 9-3 advantage at half-time.

Doug Ast of Chiliwack, BC, Gary Gulash of Calgary, Hugo Belanger and Gerry St. Cyr, both of North Vancouver, BC, Andy Rymsha of St. Catharines, ON and Mark Woolf of Brandon, MB, added goals for Canada.

Scott Humphrey of New Westminster, BC, turned away 29 of the 35 shots he faced from Team Germany.

Canada has a 2-0 won-lost record heading into its final round-robin game. The eight-team tournament is split into two groups, with Canada in the B pool as Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Defending champion United States is in the A pool with Russia, Finland and Italy. After the teams play single round-robin, the teams will be re-seeded and the winner of Group A facing the second-place team in Group B in one semifinal game, with the winner of Group B taking on the second-place team in Group A in the other.

The semifinal games will be played on Friday, July 24 at the Disney Ice arena, with the Bronze- and Gold-medal games to be played at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim on Saturday, July 25 at 4:30 and 7:30 PDT, respectively.
