Team Canada Practices Open

WHISTLER - Hockey fans are invited to watch and cheer on Team Canada as it prepares to take on the world's best in the World Cup of Hockey with a training camp in Whistler, B.C., from August 15 -18 at the Meadow Park Sports Centre.

The daily practices, between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. in Whistler, are open to the public on a first come, first serve basis with limited seating each day for between 350 and 450 people. Canadian Hockey is requesting an admission of only $5 per person, with all proceeds going to the Whistler Minor Hockey Association.

Breakaway, the official store of Canadian Hockey, will have a souvenir booth located in a tent outside the arena with all kinds of Team Canada merchandise.

Canadian Hockey is also extending an invitation to the Mountain Top barbecue at the top of Whistler Mountain Saturday, August 17 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The $75 per person cost includes a gondola ride to mountain top of Whistler Mountain; a gourmet barbeque with all Team Canada players and officials scheduled to attend; a silent auction will be held at top of mountain, as well autographed Team Canada jersey, sticks, game tickets, and much more.
