Natalie Spooner and Jessica Wong scored two goals each as Canada won gold at the MLP Cup for the seventh time in eight years with a rout of the Swiss. Vicki Bendus and Jennifer Wakefield each added a goal and two assists in the win.

Natalie Spooner and Mallory Deluce finished with a goal and an assist each as Canada kicked off the MLP Cup with a win, moving to 16-0 against the Swiss all-time. Annie Guay and Catherine White scored the other Canadian goals.

Emmanuelle Blais and Carolyne Prevost had two assists apiece and five different players scored goals as Canada won its lone pre-MLP Cup game. Laura Fortino, Annie Guay, Jennifer Wakefield, Catherine White and Mallory Deluce scored the goals in the victory.
