10-11 a.m. 
Education and Female Hockey Opportunities 
Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre

This session, which is available at no cost to female Bantam and Midget players and their parents, will prepare players for the opportunities that are ahead of them. Topics will include choosing the right post-secondary institution, asking the right questions and opening other doors in the game – coaching, officiating, volunteering, etc.

12:30-2 p.m.

3-6 p.m. 
Esso Fun Day 
Archie Browning Arena; Esquimalt, B.C.

This program is meant to be a fun day of hockey for the first-time participant in the female game, for no cost. If you are a female between the ages of four to eighty-one and want to give hockey a try, get out to an Esso Fun Day!

3 p.m. registration
3:30-4:15 off-ice team building
4:50-5:50 on-ice session (fundamental skills and games)


10-10:45 a.m. 
National Women’s Team pre-game skate

Game Activities
• Coaches Hot Stove
This session, which is available at no cost to up to 20 Victoria Minor Hockey Association coaches, includes a sit-down Hot Stove session with a member of Canada’s National Women’s Team’s coaching staff prior to the game against the United States, as well as a post-game wrap-up. Registration includes a ticket to the Canada-U.S. game. CLICK HERE to register.

• McDonald’s In the Line-up
Open to local female players aged 12-14, two players will be selected to skate with the Canadian and Americans flags during the introduction of the starting line-ups and the national anthems.

• Mini-game in first intermission
There will be a game featuring female Novice and Atom players during the first intermission of the game between Canada and the United States.

• Post-game meet and greet
Following the game, 10 local female hockey players will have the opportunity to meet the members of Canada’s National Women’s Team who did not dress for the game.
