LONDON, Ont. – Canada advances to a 2-0 record at the 2011 World Sledge Hockey Challenge after shuttingout Norway 14-0 at the Western Fair Sports Centre.

It started off as a quiet first period, but when Norway's Thomas Jacobsen was sent off the ice forholding, the action picked up and Canada's Adam Dixon (Midland, Ont.) was able find the back of the netmidway through the opening frame. Canada quickly built a 3-0 lead on additional goals by Greg Westlake(Oakville, Ont.) and Anthony Gale (Brampton, Ont.)

 The red and white didn't let up in the second, scoring two goals just 21 seconds apart, withWestlake snagging his second of the game in the first two minutes of the period and Scott Karrasch (Surrey,B.C.)  getting his first-ever goal while wearing the Canadian jersey to widen the gap to 5-0.

 Canada continued its assault on the opposition, with Dixon notching his second of the night at 5:23in the period to chase Norwegian netminder Roger Johansen off the ice and onto the bench for a 6-0 leadheading into intermission.

 The strength of the Canadians continued to show on the ice, as they increasingly overpowered theNorwegians and tallied another eight unanswered goals in the third. Westlake and Bradley Bowden (Orton, Ont.)both contributed five points to the game, also combining for five of Canada's goals.

Corbin Watson (Kingsville, Ont.)  turned away all 11 of Norway's shots, earning him his first shutoutof the tournament. Player of the game honours went to Bowden for Canada and Norway's Thomas Jacobsen.

 The final preliminary games take place Wednesday, with Norway and the United States facing off at12:30 p.m. ET, followed by Canada against Japan at 7 p.m. ET.
