TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – NORTH YORK RANGERS
The North York Rangers finished atop the GTHL regular season standings with a four-point cushion over the Mississauga Rebels, and nine over the defending TELUS Cup champions, the Toronto Young Nationals. North York kicked off its schedule with an 11-game unbeaten streak (8-0-3), and finished just as strong despite a season-ending loss to the Toronto Marlboros, its first in 14 games. The Rangers were led by the league’s best offence, scoring just under four goals per game (3.64) and were just as good on defence, allowing the second-fewest GPG (2.03) in 33 regular season games. North York was especially good as the home team, owning a league-best 11-1-4 record as the host.
