2023-24 Audited Financial Statements

Katherine Henderson and Stephen Brooks provide an overview of Hockey Canada’s 2023-24 Audited Financial Statements

November 29, 2024

TORONTO, Ontario – The following message is from Hockey Canada’s Katherine Henderson, president and chief executive officer, and Stephen Brooks, chief financial officer and senior vice-president of finance:

In recent years, Hockey Canada and our Members have implemented important recommendations from the independent governance review led by the Hon. Thomas Cromwell, C.C. to be more clear, accountable and transparent about our finances to Canadians, including by modernizing the organization’s fund structure.

As part of that work, we are once again publishing our 2023-24 Audited Financial Statements.

While we are pleased that this year’s statements do not have a Note of Going Concern and we have made considerable progress on the road to financial stability, we also recognize we must continue to work diligently to ensure the development, sustainability and safety of Canada’s hockey system moving forward.

We remain committed to increasing our financial and operational transparency as we strive to set the standard for governance of national sport organizations and will continue to publish our Audited Financial Statements on an annual basis.
