Canada and the United States will play for a gold medal at the Para Hockey Cup after posting shutouts in the semi-finals on Thursday in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.

Bridgewater, N.S. Canada’s National Para Hockey Team earned a spot in the gold medal game of the 2022 Para Hockey Cup with a 7-0 win over Czechia on Thursday night.

  • Liam Hickey (St. John’s, N.L.) and Dominic Cozzolino (Mississauga, Ont.) each had five-point nights, combining for two goals and eight assists.
  • Tyler McGregor (Forest, Ont.) scored a hat-trick and added an assist for a four-point night.
  • Rob Armstrong (Erin, Ont.) scored his first goal of the tournament.
  • James Dunn (Wallacetown, Ont.) rounded out the scoring for Canada.
  • Mathieu Leliévre (Lévis, Que.), Anton Jacobs-Webb (Halifax, N.S.) and Zach Lavin (Essex, Ont.) all had assists.
  • Jean-Francois Huneault (Saint-Eustache, Que.) made six saves for the shutout.
  • Canada outshot Czechia 22-6
