EDMONTON, Alta. – Hockey Canada, in partnership with the Hockey Alberta Foundation, is once again encouraging fans in Alberta to win bigger than ever, as the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship online 50/50 draws on Jan. 4 and 5 will each start at over $1.9 million. The large starting jackpots are a result of the New Year’s Eve jackpot going unclaimed.

Fans in Alberta can purchase 50/50 tickets from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. MT both days for as low as $5 by visiting HockeyCanada.ca/5050.

The winners of each 50/50 draw will take home half of the jackpot, while the other half will be reinvested into grassroots hockey programs to help improve the quality of life of Albertans through hockey. Fans have embraced the tradition of the 50/50 draw while enjoying the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship at home, with 10 draws to date amassing a total jackpot of nearly $14.3 million.
