There are a few familiar faces filling out the Atlantic Regional field, with three of the five teams returning from 2017 – Kensington, Moncton and St. John’s are back, and the Flyers will try to take the last step after falling short in the championship game in Miramichi.

The fab five includes plenty of previous experience at Canada’s National Midget Championship, combining for 31 appearances – St. John’s (11), Dartmouth (10), Moncton (7), Cole Harbour (2), Kensington (1).

Whoever claims the regional title will have big footsteps to follow in; the Atlantic Region is home of the defending TELUS Cup champions for the first time ever after the Cape Breton West Islanders’ dramatic run to the national crown last year.

2016 – Dartmouth Major Midgets (fifth place)
