Roster Moves Announced at Canada's National Junior Team Selection Camp

CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), announced Thursday eight players have been released from Canada’s National Junior Team selection camp and will be immediately returning to their respective club teams.

  • Laurent Brossoit – G (Surrey, B.C./Edmonton, WHL)
  • Daniel Catenacci – F (Newmarket, Ont./Owen Sound, OHL)
  • Frank Corrado – D (Vaughan, Ont./Sudbury, OHL)
  • Mathew Dumba – D (Calgary, Alta./Red Deer, WHL)
  • Mark McNeill – F (Edmonton, Alta./Prince Albert, WHL)
  • Hunter Shinkaruk – F (Calgary, Alta./Medicine Hat, WHL)
  • Ryan Sproul – D (Mississauga, Ont./Sault Ste. Marie, OHL)
  • Tom Wilson – F (Toronto, Ont./Plymouth, OHL)

Canada’s National Junior Team selection camp was held at the Markin MacPhail Centre in Calgary from Dec. 10-13, with a total of 36 players vying for 23 roster spots. The team will remain in Calgary through Dec. 14, when it departs for Europe. For a camp schedule, go to www.hockeycanada.ca.
